    Anhydrous sodium molybdate can be obtained by fusion reaction of tungsten trioxide (WO3) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) or sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), the formula equation is:
    WO3+2NaOH→Na2WO4+H2O
    WO3+Na2CO3→Na2WO4+CO2

    However, if prepared by solution crystallization process, it always gets the product of sodium tungstate dihydrate Na2WO4·2H2O。
